Well everyone, I am on holidays. I know will have more time to stitch and maybe get organized for Easter. I have not even started to decorate or get my menu together. All the family is gathering here so we should have a great time. Easter is one of my favourite holidays.
I am busy stitching on Evangeline, she is almost complete. A little more on the face and the bottom of her skirt and she is finished. Next on my list is to finish my Lizzie Kate project for one of my cousins and then I have a couple of Christmas ornaments to tackle.
My DH just bought Jersey Boy tickets, I have wanted to go for a long time. Friends of ours went and they loved it.
Tomorrow I have two of our grandchildren overnight their parents are going to a concert. I love having them, they are 7 and 5 and are quite the twosome. I have two older grandchildren 11 and 13, boy where did those years go???
I am hoping the sun will shine and it will warm up, I would like to be out on my deck! Have a good week end everyone!

Spring is in the air!

Today is my day off and it is a beautiful spring day outside. The sun is shining and hopefully the lawns will be turning green soon and all the flowers will be popping up very soon. Easter is not far away.
My Mother-in-law has been with us for a few days. We really had a good time. My hubby took her to the lake yesterday where they had lunch and enjoyed the lake and all the boats. Today he is taking her home, about an hour drive.
I am cooking for a stitching friend that is just out of hospital. When I am done I plan on doing a little stitching.
Last night all the sisters met at Henley's Landing, as we do every other Wednesday and as usual we all had a great time. Whe celebrated T's birthday with a cake. Some of us had to pass it by as we have a meeting tonight........... Damm.
Well I am going to sign off for now and go to my stitching chair and get a little done before my cooking comes out of the oven.

I love my computer when it is working, but God how I hate it when it is not. For some strange reason all of a sudden I cannot access my e-mail. Nothing has changed but all of a sudden it will not work, I felt like throwing it out the window, but it is still a little cool at night to have an open window! So I have decided to vent on my blog instead. Does anyone have a telephone number for Rogers help for internet????
So if anyone is e-mailing me call instead I am off line for a while.
I am going off to stitch on Evangeline, one over one with a magnifying glass..... FUN!!!!
Our dear stitching sister L is still in hospital no answers yet. Please if you could say a prayer for her and her family it would be so appreciated. It is times like this that we appreciate what we have, our health, our family etc.

My Day Off

Today was my day off from work, lucky me I get to work on Saturday this week. But today was a great day, the sun was shining not a cloud in the sky, it is getting a little warmer, for Canada for this time of year. The snow is melting, not fast enough but it is melting. Anyway hubby and I decided to visit his Mom and take her out for lunch. We had a lovely drive of about an hour with our Tim Horton coffee's and then we went for lunch. We spent the afternoon with his Mom and his sister and her husband and then we travelled home.
I went to a meeting with 2 friends, they had positives and I had a negative. But I will do better next week. Some weeks just are better than others.
I have spent an hour or so stitching on a special project and I feel better now. I did sleep in a bit this morning so I am not really tired right now, but I know I will be in the morning so I had better sign off and work on sleeping.
There will be time to stitch tomorrow.

Here is my latest project, Evangeline, I am happy to say she is turning out to be fabulous! The graph was created in memory of hurricane Katrina. You can see the wind whipping her hair. The colours are really bright and I am quite pleased with her. I am stiching like crazy to complete her as I have many things to stitch in the coming year. Is this different than any other year? I think not. But I want to stitch something special for a special friend in memory of her dear departed Chas, so I have to complete Evangeline and get going on a Paris scene for her. That will be a very special project for both of us.
Have a great week everyone!
