President John F. Kennedy
The president and Jackie looked so happy, it all went wrong a few minutes later.
Preident John F. Kennedy returns to Washington. I hope everyone can forgive me, I wanted to have these photos added to my previous post of JFK on the 50th anniversary but they just wouldn't post yesterday. Even though I was only 10 years old at the time I will never forget that day!

50 YEARS AGO Yes I remember what I was doing 50 years ago. I was in class in elementary school grade 5 the PA came on and we heard our principal tell us that the President, of the United States of America had ben shot and killed. We were horrified and of course we really didn't understand what was happening. When we got home that afternoon it was left to our parents to try to make us understand what had happened and why. I still have a .50 cent coin of JFK that had been made into a necklace. I plan on wearing that all day November 22. Yes we all know that John F. Kennedy was a great president and yes we all know that as a man he had many faults. We are all human and yes we all have faults. It has been 50 years in my opinion it is a time to reflect on all his good points and not to judge his bad, there is a higher power that will have dealt with that. The Kennedy family has had many trials and much happiness and so much sadness. Let us just remember and say God bless! ~Happiest when stitching~

I am back again!

Hi everyone, I am so sorry that I have been absent again. I have had a busy time with family, physio therapy and doctors appointments and all kinds of things. I have been stitching but not a lot. My husband just had surgery he now has a new right knee. He had hi left knee replaced 4 years ago. So now he is my Steve Austin, my bionic husband or at least he will be in a few weeks. Right now he is not a happy guy who is feeling house bound. My Mom has been here helping out. I walk with crutches in the house and for short distances but if it is going to be a long walk I have to use a wheel chair. I have a neurological dysorder called Dystonia. So my husband and I are quite the pair these days. s ~Happiest when stitching~

Brentwood here we come!

Well everyone I am back! I have had a rough few months, but I am feeling better. My broken arm has healed, I am still going to physio therapy twice a week. I am stitching again, I started stitching a few Christmas ornaments. That went pretty well so I went on to finish a birthday present for a good friend. I am still working on my Titanic project but I have misplaced part of the chart, I have to go looking for that tomorrow. I am pretty sure I know where it is, we will see if I find it or not.....
4 more sleeps and The Stitching Sisters and the 4 From Forest are on our way to Brentwood on the Beach which is on the shores of Lake Huron. We are having our annual retreat. The weather man had better be right, he says it is going to be sunny and warm. He had better not change his mind.If he does I am driving to Toronto to have a chat with him.
I am going to post a couple of photos on my next post for some reason I can't find them on my lap top but I know they are on my other computer. Stay tuned!
Thanks for being patient and waiting for me to come back, it has been a long few months. I really appreciate it.

Downton Abbey

Downton Abbey

What a home!
How many miles per gallon?
A grandmothers advise?

I am still not able to stitch but I am hoping to soon. Until then I am crazy in love with Downton Abbey.
