My blessings

Counting my blessings, that is an easy one. My husband, my children, and my grandchildren. The other very important blessing is my Mom. She is a wonderful mother and I try to thank her and tell every day by phone that I love her. My mother and I live 2 hours a part, so we talk a lot on the phone. I have started calling her every day, I like going to bed a night and knowing she is safe and loved. Life can be interupted at any time so you had better enjoy every minute because you just never know what is around the corner.

Amen. My dad was ill for quite some time before he died, and I was one of his caretakers. When he went, it was quick. He went in the hospital on Sat and died on Tuesday. But I had been helping him out in the mornings for a long time, and I know he knew he was loved and cared for. It's comforting to know that our loved ones know they are loved by us. It's also a comfort when we lose one we love, as they left us knowing we loved them. I'm glad you make the effort to talk to your mom every night. I talk to my mom almost every day too. Just checking in to say hello and make sure she's all right.

Beautiful post. Too often we complain about silly things and forget the blessings in our lives that are important.

Hi Kerry, This is my first visit to your lovely blog. Thank you for visiting me on mine. Your stitching projects are beautiful and yes, I can see you have the cross stitching fever too.
Beautiful post. My sweet Mom is now in assisted living and suffers from dementia. Thankfully, she is only a 20 minute car ride away from me, I do get to see her often. Being with her, does put life back in prospective for me. I am blessed to have her in my life each day.
