My Mom's birthday!

Roma Louise, born February 4th, 1931 on her mothers birthday. My Mom had 10 siblings, two babies passed away Stewart and Oren. Stewart passed away as a newborn. Oren passed away at about nine months. My Mom lived on a dairy farm in The Eastern Townships in Quebec. Life there was a struggle, not a lot of money but some how they learned how to use the land to their advantage. My Mom tells stories of baking lots of bread and making a lot of preserves from the garden to help get through the long cold winters.
My Mom worked for Bell Canada until she married. Then she stayed at home and a few years later she welcomed me into the world. Although her marriage was not very happy she stuck it out for 25 years. Then she decided enough was enough and left it all behind and moved 500 miles away. I am happy to say she has made a new life for herself. She is very involved with her church and works one day at the soup kitchen and also volunteers at the red cross clinic.  She also visits the shut ins from the church.
My Mom is the greatest, I am an only child and I quite like it. My Mom is not only the greatest Mom but she is also my best friend. Today she celebrates her 80th birthday and I truly pray she lives many more years, I really don't know how I will live without her. God bless you, I love you so.
Happy 80th birthday

Happy Birthday to Mum...and you are so right when you say she is a wonderful Mum. It is so easy to see where you get your kindness, caring and love from. Now, I have to go make that call...
As always

Hi Kerry, I found a picture that I posted earlier of the largemouth bass I'm stitching and I have to be honest, I've not worked on it at all...but here is the link to the post of when I bought it, and a picture as well.

Happy Birthday! The outfit is pretty and your story wonderful!

By the way, I love your Irish Setter. I grew up with one and had two of my own back in the day. They're my favorite dog!

Cheers!
